Welcome to the Dutch Society Thailand

And perhaps welcome to Bangkok! We know from experience that it is not always easy to build a new life in a new city. Certainly not when it comes to a metropolis like Bangkok. Apart from the heat, the crowds and the traffic chaos, it is not always easy to build a new social network. Through the Dutch Society Thailand (NVT), our members immediately have access to an active social network, which not only promotes integration upon arrival in Bangkok, but also makes the stay in Bangkok more pleasant.

Goal

The Dutch Society Thailand, which has existed since 1941, aims to strengthen relations between the Dutch living in Thailand. To this end, the NVT organizes a number of social and informal activities for its members every year.

Activities

Regular activities are the monthly drinks, coffee mornings and excursions under the name Zeezicht. Spread over the year there are the regular events of the year opening, Leiden's relief, the members' meeting, the thanks to our volunteers event, Sinterklaas, New Year's Eve, Kings's day with flea market, and the year-end closing. Occasionally there are movie nights, het groot dictee, theater by a Dutch artist, museum visits, sports, or a tasting.

Publications

Our Newsletter is published frequently to keep you informed of upcoming activities.

This website is primarily intended to bring news and upcoming events to the attention of members and interested parties. Via useful addresses and interesting facts you can learn more about Thailand and many things of interest to Dutch people who are interested in Thailand.

In addition, you can visit our Facebook page to be kept informed by clicking the 'like' button.

Volunteers and sponsors

Of course, the association cannot exist without the voluntary commitment of our members and without the support of our sponsors. We invite Dutch people who want to contribute to the association in any way to contact us.

Cooperation

The NVT does not stand alone within the Dutch community in Thailand and to this end maintains relationships with, among others, the Dutch Embassy, the various Dutch business clubs and the Dutch associations in Hua Hin/Cha-am and Pattaya.

Have fun living and reading!
