Stand Up Comedy: Howard Komproe
Together with NVT Hua Hin Cha Am is it NVT Bangkok managed to get two top performances Howard Komproe to be organized in Bangkok and Hua Hin. Howard was at the cradle of stand-up comedy in the Netherlands and has been in Dutch theaters for several seasons.
But being alone is also being alone so he comes up with a new project: the LUL stories. Stories told by (un)known comedians, writers, opinion makers and TV personalities from a male perspective, as a counterpoint to the vagina monologues.
Howard played the role of Pontus Pilate in TV spectacle The PassionHe also gives workshops, presents, works for radio and TV and wrote the book The limit of the joke.
In addition, Howard is the creator of the one-liner show Padoem Patsss wwhich he toured with and was successfully developed into a TV pilot for 3Lab on NPO 3, followed by 4 episodes for BNN.
Currently Howard is mostly busy with his online series Tastings. In Komproeven he compares traditional dishes with “the ready-made version” of them.
In 2018 and 2019, Howard performed with Carribean Combo at AHOY.
In theater season 2023/2024 Howard played in the very well-received show The Story of Travis (Theatre Rotterdam). After that he appeared in the play Robin Hood (Theater Sonnevanck). He can also be heard weekly from Monday to Thursday on the radio program NPO Blend.
