Embassy for sale!

It may already be known to some readers, but for those who don't know: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the plan to sell the Dutch embassy in Bangkok.
Why? Most likely because it makes a lot of money initially. However, this is rather short-sighted and many are now convinced that this is a very bad plan.

The NVT board is inundated with responses from the Dutch community, but also from Thai organizations and other nationalities, who express their concern about this. A petition has been started and we have sent letters to politicians in The Hague and the king. An article has appeared in "de Telegraaf" and more will certainly follow.

You can sign the petition and/or  to "the Telegraph" write. We will keep you posted and let's try to stop this!
