May 4 Remembrance Day at the embassy

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗽 𝟰 I I 𝟭𝟱 𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘂𝘀

On Sunday, May 4th, a ceremony will be held in the garden of the Dutch residence in Bangkok as part of the National Remembrance Day. We invite everyone to gather to commemorate the victims of World War II, the colonial war in Indonesia, and subsequent war situations and peace missions.

On August 15, a ceremony will take place in Kanchanaburi to commemorate the end of World War II in Asia and all the victims of the war with Japan and the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies. The embassy will provide more information later.

On the day, children aged 6 to 18 will also have the opportunity to attend a lesson about Anne Frank, offered by the Dutch School and NIST. Finally, there will be an exhibition about Anne Frank in the residence and garden, open to everyone.

First Thursday drinks at Det5

Just before the big Orange Festival, it's definitely a good time to meet some fellow Dutch people over a drink and perhaps a Dutch snack. You can do that in the cozy garden of Det5 on Sukhumvit Soi 8. Thursday, May 1st from 7:00 PM.
