Zeezicht commemorates Sylvester van Welij

Zeezicht dedicates its tour of November 21, 2023 in memory of NVT friend Sylvester van Welij, who suddenly passed away on November 13, 2022. He walked a lot through the metropolis and we set out this Sea View based on one of his walks, which he specially recommended to us:

No matter how grandiose our purpose of visit may be from a distance, you imagine yourself in a world unknown to non-Thais: during our  preparation we literally saw no other Westerners.

We discovered a neighborhood with a kind of Thai ribbon development and travel in Sylvester's footsteps to our attraction, a sixteen-storey Mahayana Buddhist pagoda at the foot of a Chinese sculpture garden. 

A Chinese temple opposite is also worth a visit. 

We will of course share our memories and anecdotes about Sylvester over coffee and our final lunch.
